We’re Fine

I was inspired by a song by Kimya Dawson and I wanted to choreograph a dance to an equivalent song whose words I wrote. The words are non-sensical but the feeling is the same. I do not have a video of this dance but I do have this video that I made for showing on a big screen behind the dancers as they danced. I was also able to get a staff member of VSA at the time to play and sing the song. I like to remember the dancers who are pictured and I love this version of the song. It is important to me and the dancers to be recognized as out there in society and thus these photos of the dancers are a part of that allowance to be seen as a part of society.
