Fear of Living Friendlessly   In 1999, I entered a dance in the Santa Fe Choreographer’s Showcase and had the dance: “The Fear of Living Friendlessly”  accepted for presentation. Recently, I decided that I wanted to add some words that indicated what the dance was about for me and I put the words on the video that I had of the dance. I had always liked the dance and I hope that the words add a little to its interpretation.  The dance itself is based on my feelings about the uncertainties involved with friendships. The questions we ask ourselves and the attempts we make to make and keep friends . I wanted to illustrate some ridiculous attempts to make friends in order to begin thinking and maybe discussions about the factors that underlie the fear of living friendlessly.
